Hi, after looking here and finally buying Aunt Philly's DVD, I've started my first rag rug and am very pleased with how it is going. I would recommend you save yourself the time and frustration of trying to do this without using this DVD if you want a professional looking rug. I also bought a DVD from a lady who does this as a craft in Branson, MO, but the quality, detail and camera angle make it hard to begin a project just from the DVD. She also uses a little different technique (as do the free videos on this forum) and I find Aunt Philly's instruction is most helpful. I have also requested a written pattern from a lady who teaches at a college in Portland. I love comparing techniques to perfect my own. As I learn lessons, I plan on posting them here. I also hope to post a picture of my rug on this forum too so look for it. Thanks for offering this site.
